On every third Saturday in May, Americans celebrate armed forces day. This day we honor our all currently serving military personnel whether they are soldiers of Army, sailors of Navy, Marine Corps, air force, coast guards, and space force men and women of the United States Armed Forces.

Officially in 1949, Defense secretary Louis Johnson declared it as Armed Forces Day. The very first time on May 20, 1950, Americans celebrated this day officially.
